Hanging lights on the lampposts | Shadow Hunters SMASh Contest Round 388 [EN/ES]

Hello shadow lovers!

Today I want to invite you to reflect on object art, or art based on working with objects.

Likewise, with these photographs, I wish to pay tribute to key artists of Impressionism such as Cézanne, Degas, Morisot, Pissarro, Monet, Renoir, and Sisley.

You might wonder why this supposedly chaotic relationship exists. It's true that, through figuration and the impressions we receive from it, one can encounter diverse emotions.

Thinking about this, I found myself hunting for shadows of streetlights in their dialogue with dissimilar surfaces, reimagining them as vivid objects and not as mere decorative objects in some park where many see them without noticing.

Streetlights also remind me of contemporary artists like Francisco Serrano or Frederic Kholi, who have given us valuable visions of lamps whose lights move us.

Art with light and objects, its symmetry, its transfiguration, are elements we cannot ignore in everything around us.

I hope you'll tell me what you think about this and about these photos I'm giving you, as if inviting you to brighten your days and also illuminate those around you, always with a smile and light prevailing over shadows.

¡Hola amantes de las sombras!

Hoy quiero invitarles a reflexionar sobre el arte objetual, o el arte que se apoya en el trabajo con los objetos.

Así mismo, deseo, con estas fotografías, homenajear a artistas claves del impresionismo como Cézanne, Degas, Morisot, Pisarro, Monet, Renoir o Sisley.

Se preguntarán por qué esta relación supuestamente caótica y es que, a través de la figuración y las impresiones que, de ella podemos recibir, uno puede encontrarse ante emociones diversas.

Pensando en ello, me descubrí cazando sombras de farolas en su diálogo con disímiles superficies para repensarlas vívidas y no como simples entes decorativos de algún parque donde muchos las ven sin reparar en ellas.

Farolas que también me recuerdan a artistas contemporáneos como Francisco Serrano o Frederic Kholi, quienes nos han regalado visiones valiosas sobre lámparas cuyas luces nos estremecen.

El arte con la luz y con objetos, su simetría, su transfiguración, resultan elementos que no podemos ignorar en todo lo que nos rodea.

Espero me cuenten qué piensan al respecto y sobre estas fotos que les regalo, como quien pretende invitarles a iluminar sus días e iluminar también a quienes les rodean, siempre con una sonrisa y las luz primando sobre las sombras.
