Dragonflies are a group of insects belonging to the Odonata nation. These insects are rarely far away from the water, where they lay their eggs and spend their pre-mature children.
Dragonflies (subordo Anisoptera) are generally relatively large stature and perch with open wings or stretched to the side.
This morning a dragonfly was trapped in my window. I immediately took some photos before releasing them to nature.
