I was quite busy this weekend. So busy until I have no choice but to limit my engagement within ASEAN HIVE COMMUNITY. This week also a busy week for me. I have a project proposal that need to be submitted on 26th January 2022.
I wanted to share a bit about my weekend with the community. Hope the sharing of my ordinary life thingy does not bored the community 😅
For breakfast, as usual I will go for nasi lemak or roti canai. That is the fastest and simplest breakfast that I can think of. To pair with the nasi lemak or roti canai, I sometimes order a glass of teh tarik.
Typical teh tarik is really sweet. It is something expected when a drink is made using condense milk as one of the main ingredient. Whenever I order a teh tarik, I will ask the waiter to make it less sweet.
Direct translation for teh tarik will be "pull tea". I have included wikipedia description of teh tarik and why the name teh tarik as below.
Teh tarik is a popular hot milk tea beverage most commonly found in restaurants, outdoor stalls, mamaks and kopitiams within the Southeast Asian countries of Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore and Thailand. A glass of teh tarik would cost around 0.5USD per glass at the mamak restaurant, and even cheaper at a road side stall. However, price may vary depending which place you go to. A fancy restaurant will charge 2USD for a glass of teh tarik
My stomach was really bloated on the afternoon. In Malaysia, the remedy for bloated stomach ranging from drinking Eno, eating peppermint leave, rub stomachache ointment, and many more.
My choice of remedy would be drinking a soda drink, and my choice of drink would be Bundaberg Ginger Beer. I first drink this ginger beer during my trip to Australia in 2018. A cold ginger beer taste really good when drink it during a hot sunny day.
I didn't know that Bundaberg brand is already sold in Malaysia. After few months, I got to know Bundaberg brand of beverage is sold at any Village Grocer outlet in Malaysia. Price per bottle is around 1.5USD. I think it is within the same range of price as in Australia.

The kids at first was not that excited that we were having our lunch there. They were expecting we to eat at KFC or McDonalds. But their face changed after they tasted the hotpot. According to them, the food was delicious
In total, I was charged 30USD for the hotpot. It is still affordable and cheap for a meal for eight person
This is my ex colleague. He used to report under me when we was in the same company in SS15 Courtyard in year 2015 until 2018. I was at Midvalley megamall, and coincidentally he was there also. We bump into each other and he asked me to get our lunch at Chicken Rice Shop.
We chit chat while having our lunch. It is good to hear that he has accomplished most of his dreams, and he is aiming to achieve other dreams. Even though our age were 10 years apart, we look almost the same age 🤣🤣🤣
