While watching the markets, you might be wondering what's happening at the moment with the Chaos Legion presale and the new voucher system in place. Are people selling their vouchers or holding onto them like collectibles for an art gallery, hoping the value will increase with time? Let's talk about what happened with the first voucher drop to today's sales and consider what might happen for the future (remembering it's just a guess, not financial advice).
That first night was a wild ride. You couldn't post the vouchers fast enough, and they were ripped from your hands. Imagine back in the days what it would have been like at a real marketplace when the new items arrived! At least here the "pushing and shoving" is virtual. I believe the highest price I saw for the vouchers was over 30 HIVE per voucher, which I happily sold at that price. Did it get higher? Does anyone recall? I'd love to know.
Now, the price is holding steady around 24 HIVE. It's been there for a couple days now, so is this the determined value of the voucher? Has the market settled on a price? If we sold one voucher per day for 30 days, that's 690 HIVE. Now 24 HIVE at the time I wrote this was just under $20 USD ($19.88 exactly, but let's make this easy math, shall we?). That's just under $600 and it's a FREE DROP daily from Splinterlands, just because you play the game. WOW! It's insane. That's my Christmas shopping, DONE!
Actually, maybe I should make little "golden tickets" like the ones in Willy Wonka but these say "VOUCHERS" and gives those as stocking stuffers! Will they be worth $20 come Christmastime, guys?? What do you think? Yes or no?
What I've noticed with the presale packs is sale numbers so far are low. Now folks, this isn't because no one wants these packs. I mean EVERYONE in the Splinterlands' community has been chomping at the bit to get these packs, so there's more to the story here for sure. I have a feeling we're all waiting to hear about that "big meeting" Aggroed and Matt were having Friday afternoon about the future of Chaos Legions. It's like we're all listening in on the other side of the door to see how we should act.
Meanwhile, others may be holding onto these precious "golden tickets" because it benefits you to purchase the packs in bulk for that amazing bonus!! Who's going for that? Gosh I wish I could get that 1000 pack deal, because actually you only need to get 870 if you do the bonuses correctly. :)
Oh I think the vouchers most certainly are worth it, but it will be very interesting to see what happens over the course of this month. I'd love to hear your thoughts about it. When it hits close to 30 days, how much MORE do you think the price of vouchers will increase? I'm betting QUITE A LOT. Each day that goes buy is a day for more opportunities. That's what makes Splinterlands such a marvelous way to build your crypto. You can have a lazy weekend and play a few tournaments, brawls, battles, etc. You can spend your time playing the market a bit, selling here, buying there, reading up on what's happening in the world to get ready for the next rise or fall. No one can really know, right? It's like taking that axe, hitting the rock and hoping you'll strike gold!
We shall see what becomes of the golden ticket. I am enjoying all the quite whispers here and there about what may happen. Does anyone have the tea on that big meeting on Friday? I'd REALLLY like to know what was discussed. Aggroed said eventually you won't need vouchers to buy packs, but if all we need are packs right now in the game to get some collection power going, you can BET those packs are going to be quite far down the line before we can get them without vouchers, and I FEEL like there's no time to waste here.
