Finally, my friend from Dubai is here in Pakistan to get married by end of this month and today, we had a pre-wedding party. We were in touch for last couple of days but due to other commitments and busy schedule, we were unable to sit together. However, today he called and planned to sit together after work and we agreed for the same.
The good thing about my Dubai friend is that he cares a lot and gives importance to his friends. He is too busy in shopping and planning for his wedding but still managed and gave time to us. As usual, he picked me first from my home and then we decided the spot to sit for dinner on our way, shared the location with other friend who joined us directly at “Khyber Shinwari”. I have shared about this place in many of my old posts, its a street with many restaurants and all of them are really nice. This time we choose to sit at Khyber Shinwari.
First, we had a cup of tea which was badly needed as weather has been changed and a cold breeze was making us crazy. A strong cup of tea gives a refreshing mood. We had a lot of discussion of his wedding plans and his suiting. He is well satisfied with everything which is smoothly handled by his brother. Meanwhile, we gave an order of BBQ platter which was well served and we all enjoyed the food together.
BBQ platter consists of Chicken Boti, Seekh Kababs, Afghani Boti, tikka, Reshmi Kababs, Malai boti and the bread (Naans and chapati) was all very tasty and delicious. Just the Paratha was not upto the mark. It was not as crispy as it should be. Other than that, venue and seating area plus the environment and food, everything was satisfactory.
After having dinner, both of them entered in a vast discussion on my work life. both of them specially Dubai friend was very much worried about my earning and work life. it was not the first time we were having this discussion but the only difference is that I was on the same page this time. it was regarding me joining my friend in our own work rather than working for some other company. Why not work for yourself if you can earn more than what I am getting right now. This topic took more than an hour and they both were busy convincing me to get rid of the job and start working for yourself, own work in the same logistic field. Well, I am not that business mind. I am more comfortable in working for some company who pays me on monthly basis. It is true that I am scared of taking risk and working in safe and secure environment. Job security is more important because own work can have bad times which I cannot afford. but still their point is valid and I am thinking the same for last couple of months. They both convincing me without any of their own benefit, its just they care about me and want good for me. So, after this long discussion, still I asked them to let me think about it and then will decide what to do by end of this month.
It was nice hang out with friends and they both gave me a lot of friendly and free advice on which I have to work now and take an appropriate decision for my future life. Lets hope for the best.
