I haven't posted in this group for a long time. And today was an opportunity to share with you my impressions from the trip to Venice. For a long time, I wanted to take a leisurely walk through the narrow streets of Venice, sit at a table by the canal and watch the boats constantly rush by, transporting all kinds of things: people, products, etc. Today I arrived in Venice by train and walked along unfamiliar streets in search of something new that would impress me.

Давно я не писала в цю групу. А сьогодні видалася нагода поділитися з вами моїми враженнями від поїздки до Венеції. Я давно хотіла неквапливо походити по вузеньких вуличках Венеції, посидіти за столиком біля каналу і дивитися як безупинно снують катери, перевозячи всяку всячину: людей, продукти і т.п. Сьогодні я поїздом приїхала до Венеції і пішла по незнайомих вулицях в пошуках чогось нового, що б вразило мене.

I came to the area where there was once the first Jewish ghetto in Europe. A community of Jews lived on a separate island. The authorities of Venice established a number of rules that the Jewish community had to follow. One of these rules was the prohibition to leave the ghetto after sunset until dawn. The Jews carefully complied with the requirements and in return were free to practice their faith. Unfortunately, I did not get to the museum, which has been closed for renovation for a long time. But she was able to walk the streets and look at the old shabby houses that remember the ancient times.

Я прийшла у район, де колись було перше в Європі єврейське гетто. На окремому острові жила община євреїв. Влада Венеції встановила ряд правил, які повинна була виконувати єврейська община. Одне з цих правил була заборона покидати гетто після заходу сонця до світанку. Євреї ретельно виконували вимоги і натомість могли вільно сповідувати свою віру. Нажаль, я не потрапила до музею, який вже довгий час зачинений на ремонт. Але змогла походити вулицями та подивитись на старі обшарпані будинки, що пам'ятають давні часи.

Then she crossed the bridge and walked for a long time along the canal embankment, which is strewn with cafes and restaurants. Coffee just turned out to be very appropriate. It's nice to taste coffee, looking at numerous tourists, listening to a conversation in different languages of the world.

Потім перейшла через міст і довго йшла набережною каналу, що всипані кафе та ресторанами. Кава якраз виявилася дуже доречною. Гарно смакувати кавою, дивлячись на численних туристів, слухаючи розмову на різних мовах світу.

It is good not to be in a hurry. Because you have time to listen to the voices of passers-by, to the sounds of engines and the cry of voracious seagulls. And so slowly I came across the exhibition. A huge house, outwardly very similar to a church or some ancient temple. A sign on the wall of the house indicated that an exhibition of the works of the outstanding artist from Colombia, Oscar Murillo, was taking place here.

Добре нікуди не квапитися. Бо маєш час прислухатися до голосів перехожих, до звуків моторів та крику ненажерливих чайок. І так поволі я натрапила на виставку. Величезний будинок, зовні дуже подібний до церкви або якогось античного храму. Вивіска на стіні будинку свідчила, що тут проходить виставка творів видатного художника з Колумбії Оскара Мурільо.

The artist was born in Colombia, and has been living in Great Britain since the age of 10. He was educated in London at the Academy of Art. He was awarded the Turner Prize in 2019 for his creativity. This is the highest award in the field of artistic creativity. It's like a Nobel Prize.
The exhibition takes place from September 17 to November 27 at the Scuola Grande della Misericordia. The name of the exhibition is A Storm is Blowing from Paradise. What does it mean: "Storm comes from heaven."

Художник народився в Колумбії, а з 10 років проживає в Великобританії. Він здобув освіту в Лондоні в Академії мистецтва. За свою креативність він удостоєний премії Тернера в 2019 році. Це найвища нагорода в області художньої творчості. Це як Нобелівська премія.
Виставка, що проходить з 17 вересня по 27 листопада в Scuola Grande della Misericordia. Назва виставки A Storm is Blowing from Paradise . Що значить :" Шторм приходить з раю".

Oscar Murillo created his canvases based on the creativity of children around the world. This global project has been ongoing since 2013. In 400 international schools, white canvases were fixed on students' desks for six months. Children aged 10 to 14 could write and draw their thoughts with pencils, paints or felt-tip pens.

Оскар Мурільо створив свої полотна на основі творчості дітей всього світу. Цей глобальний проект триває з 2013 року. У 400 міжнародних школах на партах учнів було закріплено білі полотна на пів року. Діти, віком від 10 до 14 років могли писати, малювати олівцями, фарбами або фломастерами свої думки.

Drawings, graphic symbols, inscriptions, conscious and unconscious signs accumulated layer after layer on the white fabric. About 40 million such copies were created. More than 100 thousand children from more than 30 countries joined this project.

На білій тканині шар за шаром накопичувалися малюнки, графічні символи, написи, свідомість та несвідомі знаки. Таких екземплярів було створено біля 40 міліонів. Більше ніж 100 тисяч дітей з більш ніж 30 країн долучилися до цього проекту.

The white canvases were sewn into one large one. And the artist intervened, applying blue paints that spread on the canvas. The blue paint is like water spilling over the fabric, as if connecting children's drawings together.

Білі полотна були зшиті в одне велике. І художник втрутився , наносячи сині фарби, що розтікаються по полотні. Синя фарба як вода, що розливається по тканині, наче з'єднує між собою дитячі малюнки.

The artist digitizes children's canvases and creates fundamental paintings and installations. Clothes created from fabric carry thoughts expressed by children participating in the artist's project.

Художник оцифровує полотна дітей і створює фундаментальні картини та інсталяції. Одяг створений з тканини несе в собі думки , висловлені дітьми , що беруть участь в проекті художника.

The exhibition is accompanied by music created from the voices of children in schools and on the street. I move from one table with pictures to another. I see how children sincerely and directly reflect their inner world. I understand that such pictures should be viewed with wide-open eyes, as children do when contemplating and learning about the world. The exhibition "Storm Blows from Paradise" helps us not to forget who we are.

Виставка супроводжується музикою, створеною з голосів дітей в школах та на вулиці. Я переходжу від одного столу з малюнками до іншого. Я бачу як діти щиро і безпосередньо відображають свій внутрішній світ. Я розумію, що такі картини треба розглядати широко відкритими очима, як це роблять діти, споглядаючи і пізнаючи світ. Виставка " Буря віє з раю" допомагає нам не забути хто ми є.
