Hello, Hive Open Mic friends! We have now reached week 132 of this event that brings together musical talent on the Hive blockchain. For this edition the theme focuses on Women, Life and Liberty. I don't know if the cover I chose is directly related; however, I took the liberty of doing something a little different from what I have been presenting week to week.
On this occasion, I want to present a cover on electric and electro-acoustic guitar. Although I don't have the most experience on electric guitar, I wanted to experiment and continue the learning process, since the world of music is unlimited and infinite, every day we can learn something new and improve what we already know.
Since I don't have a pedalboard for the electric guitar at the moment, I used a digital amplifier offered by default by the Cubase audio editor, the chosen effect, Datube Amp. Simulator, presents a soft distortion with a slightly bassy tone. On the other hand, the electro-acoustic guitar presents a clean sound for the arpeggios. I'm still experimenting with these sounds, but it's something I want to delve into.
The song I performed is called The Carpenter, by the Finnish symphonic metal band Nightwish, specifically from the album Angels Fall First, released in 1997. Its lyrics refer to Jesus, the carpenter from Nazareth, who left an indelible mark in the hearts and souls of mankind.
The background music I used can be found on Youtube, and was edited with the App. Moises to suppress the sound of the guitars, leaving only the voice, drums and bass. I hope you like this presentation.
¡Hola, amigos de Hive Open Mic! Ya hemos llegado a la semana 132 de este evento que reúne al talento musical en la blockchain de Hive. Para esta edición la temática se centra en la Mujer, Vida y Libertad. No sé si el cover que elegí se relacione directamente; sin embargo, me tomé la libertad de hacer algo un poco diferente a lo que vengo presentando semana a semana.
En esta ocasión, quiero presentarles un cover en guitarra eléctrica y electroacústica. A pesar de que no tengo la mayor experiencia en guitarra eléctrica, he querido experimentar y continuar el proceso de aprendizaje, ya que el mundo de la música es ilimitado e infinito, cada día se puede aprender algo nuevo e ir mejorando en lo que ya se sabe.
Debido a que no cuento por los momentos con una pedalera para la guitarra eléctrica, utilice un amplificador digital que ofrece por defecto el editor de audio Cubase, el efecto escogido, Datube Amp. Simulator, presenta una suave distorsión con matices un tanto graves. Por su parte, la guitarra electroacústica presenta un sonido limpio para la ejecución de los arpegios. Aún estoy experimentando con estos sonidos, pero es algo en lo que deseo profundizar.
La canción que interpreté lleva por nombre The Carpenter, de la banda de metal sinfónico finlandés Nightwish, específicamente del álbum Angels Fall First, lanzado en el año 1997. En sus líricas se refiere a Jesús, el carpintero de Nazaret, quien dejó una huella imborrable en los corazones y almas de la humanidad.
El fondo musical que utilicé se puede encontrar en Youtube, y fue editado con la App. Moises para suprimir el sonido de las guitarras, dejando solo la voz, batería y bajo. Espero que les guste esta presentación.
