Hello Everyone! Hope you all are doing great and welcome to another #Splinterlands post.
It's time for another #Splinterlands card spotlight, and today I wanted to talk about a card that caught my attention while browsing through the Fire element.
Today's featured card is Torch Myrmidon.
It is a Rare Fire unit, and after looking at its abilities, I honestly think it can be much more useful than it first looks. Sometimes we focus too much on huge Legendary cards and forget that some Rare cards can also carry games in the right lineup.
So today let's take a better look at what this card actually brings to the battlefield.
The first thing that stood out to me was the artwork.
Torch Myrmidon looks like an experienced warrior standing confidently with flames behind him. The design really matches the Fire splinter.
Looking at the stats, it has decent Health and solid Ranged Attack.
It isn't one of those cards that immediately looks overpowered, but after reading the abilities I started thinking there are actually a lot of different ways this card can be used.
Sometimes versatility is better than raw damage.
Flank: At the beginning of the battle, if this unit is in the first position, the unit in the second position gains Reach.
The first ability is Flank.
This is one of my favorite support abilities.
If Torch Myrmidon starts the battle in the first position, the monster behind it gains Reach.
That opens up some really interesting team combinations.
Normally only certain monsters can attack from the second position, but Flank gives another unit the ability to contribute immediately.
I really like abilities that let you build creative lineups instead of always using the same strategy.
Close Range: Can use ranged attacks from the first position.
The second ability is Close Range.
This one is honestly very useful.
Normally ranged units become useless when they reach the first position.
But not this one.
Torch Myrmidon can continue attacking even after moving to the front.
I've lost plenty of battles because my ranged monster got stuck in first place and couldn't attack anymore.
Having Close Range removes that weakness completely.
It makes the card much more reliable throughout the entire battle.
Shatter: Successful attacks destroy the target's armor.
The last ability is Shatter.
Whenever Torch Myrmidon lands a successful attack, it completely destroys the target's Armor.
Not just damages it, it removes all of it instantly.
That can make a huge difference against defensive teams.
Once Armor disappears, your other monsters can start dealing direct Health damage much faster.
Against heavily armored opponents, Shatter is always nice to have.
Personally, I think Torch Myrmidon fits best in Fire teams that like to stay aggressive.
Flank helps another unit attack.
Close Range means this monster keeps fighting even after moving forward.
Shatter removes Armor for the whole team.
Those three abilities actually work together pretty well.
It's not just a simple ranged attacker.
It also provides support for the rest of your lineup.
I really like that kind of design.
Overall, I think Torch Myrmidon is a really fun card to look at.
The combination of Flank, Close Range, and Shatter makes it much more versatile than I expected.
I probably wouldn't call it the strongest Fire card in #Splinterlands, but it's definitely one that can fit into many different team compositions.
Cards like this usually become more valuable the more experience you gain because you start finding new ways to use them.
I definitely wouldn't mind adding this one into my own Fire lineup sometime.
Anyway thats it for todayโs #Splinterlands grind. Please do give your reviews in the comments section below. I would really appreciate it :)
I'll be back with another one soon. So do follow me if you want to stay updated. Till then, Stay Happy and Stay Hydrated.
