Hello Everyone! Hope you all are doing amazing and welcome to another #Splinterlands post.
Today I decided to do another #Splinterlands card spotlight, and this time I wanted to talk about a card that honestly doesn't get discussed enough.
The card is, Lord Thanalor.
At first glance, this card looks like one of those expensive legendary support cards that you probably ignore because of the high mana cost.
But after actually taking some time to look at his abilities and using him in a few battles, I started to realize that Lord Thanalor can be really annoying for your opponent if used correctly.
And honestly? I think this card deserves way more attention.
So first, let's look at the basic stats.
Mana Cost: 12
Magic Attack: 4
Health: 10
Armor: 2
Speed: 4
Now, 12 mana is definitely expensive.
But then I realized something.
For a support-focused legendary, having 4 magic damage, 10 health, and 4 speed is actually pretty solid.
This isn't a weak support card hiding behind your frontline.
This thing can actually contribute to the battle while buffing your whole team.
Amplify: Increases damage of Retaliate, Corrosive Ward, Magic Reflect, Return Fire, and Thorns for all friendly units by 1.
This increases damage from:
Thorns
Return Fire
Magic Reflect
Retaliate
Corrosive Ward
Honestly, Amplify is one of those abilities that doesn't always look amazing on paper.
But whenever your opponent attacks into reflect damage builds, they suddenly realize how painful it actually is.
If you're running tanks with Thorns or units with Magic Reflect, this ability becomes incredibly valuable.
Scavenger: +1 health and max health each time any unit is defeated.
Every time any unit dies on the battlefield, Lord Thanalor gains:
+1 Health
+1 Maximum Health
This is honestly one of my favorite abilities.
Because long battles happen all the time in #Splinterlands.
And once units start dying, Lord Thanalor slowly becomes an absolute monster.
I've seen Scavenger units survive way longer than expected simply because they kept gaining health throughout the battle.
Rust: -2 armor to all enemy units.
This ability reduces all enemy armor by 2.
Now this might not sound crazy at first.
But against armor-heavy teams?
It's actually huge.
A lot of players rely on armor buffs and defensive strategies.
Removing enemy armor immediately allows your attackers to start hitting health faster.
And that can completely change a battle.
After spending some time using Lord Thanalor, I honestly think this card is pretty underrated.
He's not flashy.
He's not one of those cards that instantly destroys the enemy team.
But what he does do is make your entire strategy stronger.
And sometimes, those support cards end up being the real MVPs.
Will I use Lord Thanalor every match?
Definitely not.
Will I use him again in high mana battles?
Absolutely.
I think I was sleeping on this card for way too long.
Anyway thats it for today’s #Splinterlands grind. Please do give your reviews in the comments section below. I would really appreciate it :)
I'll be back with another one soon. So do follow me if you want to stay updated. Till then, Stay Happy and Stay Hydrated.
