Celebrating that my older brother defended his tesis in Yatai [ESP/ENG]
Hiiiiiiiiiiiiii, what's up? How do you celebrate your achievements and the ones from your loved ones? Do you like ramen? The other day my oldest brother, Ale, defended his tesis and now is graduating as Civil Engineer this december!! To celebrate, my mom and I decided to go eat at an asian food restaurant as Ale loves asian food. Let me tell you how it went. 馃憞馃憞馃憞馃憞馃憞
Hoooola, 驴qu茅 m谩s? 驴C贸mo celebran sus logros y los de sus seres queridos? 驴Les gusta el ramen? El otro d铆a mi hermano mayor, Ale, defendi贸 su tesis y se grad煤a como Ingeniero Civil este diciembre. Para celebrarlo, mi mam谩 y yo decidimos ir a comer a un restaurante de comida asi谩tica ya que a Ale le encanta la comida asi谩tica. D茅jenme les cuento como nos fue. 馃憞馃憞馃憞馃憞馃憞
My brother Ale has about 7 years studying at the Central University of Venezuela, where I also study now, he had the bad luck to start studying when it was time of protests here in Venezuela, as well as the national blackout, many strikes and then the pandemic of Covid. It has been quite a journey to get to this moment but we are very happy that he has been able to defend his thesis and now he will graduate in the next batch.
Mi hermano Ale tiene unos 7 a帽os aproximadamente estudiando en la Universidad Central de Venezuela, donde yo tambi茅n estudio ahora, tuvo la mala suerte de empezar a estudiar cuando era 茅poca de protestas ac谩 en Venezuela, as铆 como el apag贸n nacional, muchos paros y luego la pandemia del Covid. Ha sido toda una traves铆a llegar a este momento pero estamos muy felices de que haya podido defender su tesis y ahora se grad煤e en el siguiente lote.

My mom was the most excited about this fact and is super proud of my brother because she is one of those people who puts education and family above anything else, she didn't know what to do to celebrate and asked me for help so we thought of something Asian because my brother likes that, we ended up deciding to go to Yatai, a place that is practically next to our house.
Mi mam谩 era la m谩s emocionada por este hecho y est谩 super orgullosa de mi hermano pues es de esas personas que pone la educaci贸n y la familia sobre cualquier otra cosa, no sab铆a que hacer para celebrar y me pidi贸 ayuda as铆 que pensamos en algo asi谩tico pues eso le gusta a mi hermano, terminamos decidiendo por ir a Yatai, un local que nos queda al lado de la casa pr谩cticamente.

As soon as my brother finished his defense which was online, we got dressed up and headed to the place, it is somewhat small, it is located in La Campi帽a, Caracas on the first floor of an office building if I am not mistaken, it is decorated with wooden furniture and warm lights that matched and felt good. I would say it is minimalist as there were not many decorations, quite straight to the point, a place to sit and eat. We were served very nicely and we looked for what to order from the menu, first some gyozas and a teriyaki chicken or something like that, I don't remember the exact name but it came with a special sauce and salad.
Apenas mi hermano termin贸 su defensa que fue online, nos arreglamos y nos dirigimos al local, es algo peque帽o, se encuentra en La Campi帽a, Caracas en la planta baja de un edificio de oficinas si no me equivoco, est谩 decorada con mobiliario de madera y luces c谩lidas que hac铆an juego y se sent铆an bien. Dir铆a yo que es minimalista pues no hab铆an muchas decoraciones, bastante directas al grano, un lugar donde sentarse a comer. Nos atendieron muy amablemente y buscamos que pedir del men煤, primero unas gyozas y un pollo teriyaki o algo as铆, no recuerdo bien el nombre exacto pero ven铆a con una salsa especial y ensalada.
I was going with the idea of eating ramen because I had a week watching ramen cooking videos, it is one of my dreams to prepare one and I really like them, so I ordered one with pork base, the 3 brothers ordered ramen and with pork base curiously hehe. My mom ordered the same chicken as before but with curry sauce and rice, my dad and my cousin ordered a pork curry, I was able to taste it before and it was really good.
Yo iba con la idea de comer ramen pues ten铆a una semana viendo videos de cocina de ramen, es uno de mis sue帽os preparar uno y me gustan mucho, as铆 que me ped铆 uno de base de cerdo, los 3 hermanos nos pedimos ramen y con base de cerdo curiosamente jeje. Mi mam谩 pidi贸 este mismo pollo de antes pero en salsa curry y arroz, mi pap谩 y mi prima pidieron un curry pero de cerdo, pude probar antes y estaban muuuuuuy buenos.
As for my ramen, it had pork, seaweed, sprouts, narutomaki, eggs and chopped scallion, it had a very deep and good flavor, neither sweet nor salty, the pork was melting when you touched it and the seaweed and its sea flavor really complemented the flavor of the soup. My brothers' ramen looked just as good as mine; I want to comment that I loved the bowl, good size, red (my favorite color) and it's round, I don't have one of those and it made me want to have one hehe.
En cuanto a mi ramen, tra铆a cerdo, algas, brotes, narutomaki, huevos y ceboll铆n picado, ten铆a un sabor muy profundo y bueno, ni dulce ni salado, el cerdo estaba que se deshac铆a al tocarlo y las algas y su sabor a mar de verdad que complementaba el sabor de la sopa. Los ramen de mis hermanos se ve铆an igual de ricos que el m铆o; quiero comentar que me encant贸 el bol, buen tama帽o, rojo (mi color favorito) y es redondo, de esos no tengo y me provoc贸 tener uno jeje.

We had a really good time here, we shared some family time and I would definitely come back here, the service was very good, they didn't take long to bring us the food and everything was freshly made. La pasamos realmente bien ac谩, compartimos un rato en familia y definitivamente volver铆a para ac谩, la atenci贸n fue muy buena, no tardaron mucho en traernos la comida y todo estaba reci茅n hecho.
