Good day my lovely ladies, I so much love this week contest, it open my brain and my achievement today.
Thanks to thekittygirl@thekittygirl for bringing up this contest #LOH contest #93

Being a female child is not a barrier and it does not come with any price at all, now a days female child turns out to be the best in this generation, a female child now protect the name of the family, a female child now support the family and develop the growth of her community.

I never believe that I can not do it, I believe in positivity, even when others are doubting me, I always stand firm and said to myself I can do it.

Let me share a little of my story with my ladies here, I came from the family where my father only have hope in the male children, he placed them on high esteem, he rated them well and never want anything to happen to them, any time we ask him why he is one sided he always answer us that we belong to the kitchen, that our responsibility ends in the kitchen that the male child are the one that we lift the name of the family and still answer the name of the family any time any day.

This attitude got me upset and decided to be different among my siblings, I stood my ground that no matter what I will go to school and make my people proud, I always have the zeal to conquer all of my siblings and proof my father wrong about female child.

After I finish my secondary school, my father advised me to go and learn something else instead of going to school, but I insisted that I will go to school and succeed. I wrote jamb and got admission into the polytechnic because I could not make it to university that year, I became mockery to my father that I could not make it to university that what am I proving now, I finished my OND( Ordinary National Diploma) and wrote another jamb to the university.

This time I was giving admission to study geophysics in the university, when I came home to tell my siblings, my father said that course is a man course that I can not make it through, he discouraged me to go for nursing which I said no to it.

I strive hard to make it through the course because I put in for geology and I was giving geophysics to study as a course, I was happy and embrace it with all my life, this course is so interesting to study.

After three years in the university I had to go for my students industrial work and experience scheme (SIWES) which I did in one of the company in another state, anytime we are on the field my supervisor will tell me not to operate the machine (terrameter) that is meant for men to operate.

One certain morning I told my supervisor that I will operate this terrameter and give you accurate answer for your measurements, he thought I was joking, I carried the terrameter and I operated it through out the day and all the answers were correct, since that day I have been the one operating the terrameter on field and I told him never look down on a female child, we can do what you do not expect us to do.

After five years in the university, I graduated with second class upper which I told my father and he was so happy and even told my other siblings to attend my convocation because he was not in town that day. I was so happy because I prove him wrong with his believe and I don't really blame him because that was the way his own father treated them.
