I am now officially a believer that angels are being sent to our aid when we need them the most and when we leasr expect them.
Three o'clock in the morning, my daughter's tempereature hit a 39.6°C. She was shaking. I was secretly panicking. I did not want to scare her but I am also literally shaking from panic. My husband has left for his shift and I'm not sure if I can do this by myself. I pulled myself together, I packed our things while I booked a Grab Car from our place to the hospitl emergency room.
Luckily, there was one available, we have a ride.
"Is this an emergency?" The Grab driver messaged. "Yes, how near are you."
"I'm just nearby." I uttered a prayer of thanks.
Minutes later, he messaged again. He's at the gate. I immediately carried my daughter and our baby bag ang hurried towards the car. As soon as we were settled, our driver drove like crazy into the street. He kept honking his horn so other vehicles would know we were in a hurry.
For a moment, I was scared we might get into an accident but he navigated the road like an expert. That was the quickest Grab ride I've ever had.
We got to the hospital just in time. He showed a sense of urgency as if it was his child needing medical attention. When the nurses checked my daughter's temperature, she's at 40°C. Our driver was really nice to assist us in getting out of the car. He even declined our payment.
I have heard of syories about people showing random acts of kindness and those stories always puts a smile on my face. This experience not only made me smile, it also showed me that there is indeed a greater power watching over is, sending angels helping during times of peril. I am extremely grateful to this good samaritan whom, however random he was eased the panic and worry I was feeling last night.
To our angel grab driver last night, Mark Leones Miraflores, may you be showered with more blessings. I will be praying for your good health so you can continue being an angel to those who are in need.
