As you know I hate to be open about my life. This, however involves national security. We left the great USA with a pint of whiskey in my backpack. This was cleared through a number of TSA checks without incident all the way to Greece. Candy was busted with a small container of laundry detergent. It was confiscated. We had the bathtub clothes wash argument later. Anyway, on the way back , I bought souvenirs in the guise of two plastic bottles of "Hercules" wine, $2 Eu each, one red, one white. Once again, we made it through multiple layers of security. When we picked up our connecting flight: New York to Norfolk, I was busted for the bottle of red wine. The TSA reached into my bag and confiscated the red wine. However to my surprise, he left the white wine in my case. It did not show up! I joked, "Can I go back and drink it ?' He said, yeah but he wanted to go too, jokingly. No, I would have to go through screening and etc, etc, ... not good. Ok . So this is not a critique of Candy's drinking habits, rather a concern over our TSA screening policies. Candy has for the recorder denied culpability of her alcohol consumption. She has also stated her right to clobber me on the head as a marital obligation. We came home with the white "Hercules" wine which probably is nasty, but a souvenir nonetheless.
