It's true as they say, there will be a certain point of age where it is not about having a birthday a party or spending time with friends outside but more towards having a valuable time with close family. I think I am at this point of age and I'm happy with it.
Today, while watching my kids play around and having a nice chat with wifey, I got a surprise birthday wish from our tax collector. It was sent via email and I am aware it is a computer-automated delivered.
The birthday wish was in my mother tongue.
Honestly, I don't really know how to react towards the email. Of course, I am grateful but my first thought was, "Is this how our government way of saying thanks and don't forget to pay your tax next year" or "Your tax will be due another week" or "We need to tax you more" (lol).
I tried keeping away from getting sceptical but it's that small voices whispered in my ear. Don't get me wrong, I am an obedient taxpayer and I do my due diligence without fail.
The reason I got surprised by the wish because it was my first time getting. I guess either the government has just included my email in the system or they have upgraded system used. Either way, I won't be able to flee from paying tax after this (just kidding).
Whatever it is, this year's birthday is quite special because I have this little princess together with me. I feel really blessed for having her along with my family member.
Well, this post is going to be a weird way of telling others that it's my birthday today but at least I tried not making it obvious (Lol).
