I mean, who doesn't know DD - Double Dragon? It does not matter if you are from the 70s, 80s, 90s, Gen Z or even the Millenials, this is the kind of game that never dies.
Behold, the classic and one of my personal favourite, Double Dragon. In fact, it might be one of that successful game made during its prime time.
I remembered playing this game on that classic Game Station which still supports cassettes. It was raw but the game was sure original. The pixelated graphic sure defined the overall graphics at its time but man, it was epic!
The exact game was available on PS4 played via internal emulator (I think). I bought it for like $5 on the PS4 store and downloaded it in a jippy.
It really brings back that nostalgic and melancholic feeling together with all that childhood memories.
Surprisingly, I never did won the game even when I was just a kid. I never really grasp the storyline and the goal of the game. All I ever knew was to kick-ass, lol!
The super simple combo, the ability to pickup items and to throw them to me was a no-brainer. It was a brilliant move added with a two players mode.
I even brought my kids to play together and it was just hilarious. I know it is not comparable and there is even a Double Dragon made with todays graphics, but for me, the kids really enjoyed them just like I did when I was their age.
