One of the things I love about hive is the fact that there are games built on the platform. The one I play, which is also my favourite, is splinterlands.
Splinterlands is a very interesting game. I can tell that there has been a lot of effort put into the game and I appreciate the team for that.
One thing I love about splinterlands is the lore. The various lore in splinterlands just adds to the fun of the game. It gives the game an extra level of passion.
To me, splinterlands is a game of strategy. You go into battle with an opponent. You both have to put out a strong enough line up to win the game. What makes it even more interesting is the fact that you have to choose cards whose monsters are from different elements. It could be water, fire, earth, death, life, dragon. Some cards are even neutral.
When I go into battle in splinterlands, I try to put out my best line up. The better stats your monsters have, the higher your chances of winning. However, that's not all you need to win. You could have the best cards, yet still lose battles all the time. For me, strategy is everything. I love to set out monsters in the best position I think they would be effective.
I've played a lot of battles on splinterlands. I have lost so many battles. For me, those losses were a learning opportunity. I took the lessons and it made me a better player. The victories have come too.
I also like the rewards that comes with playing splinterlands. It all adds to the fun and gives extra motivation.
One thing I love about splinterlands is that it's not difficult for a first timer to learn how to play. They show you how it's played, you do some sort of practice, there is proper guidance. Before you know it, as a newbie, you're picking your archon on your own and you've figured out how to pick the best monsters with the right speed, armour, attack and ability to use. Also, you'll learn how to put monsters in their proper position.
It's not a game that is difficult to learn and understand.
