Hello chicos? Que tal la semana? Por aquí seguimos en modo corredera con la EBV y con los pequeños cambios en casa, y en esta oportunidad les quiero mostrar cómo ha quedado la mini estación de café en nuestra cocina, y es que como saben me faltaba la cafetera, además de otras cositas que quería cambiar y agregar para que el espacio quedara lo más funcional y bonito posible, y para mí el resultado fue 100% satisfactorio, o quizá 90% 😄
Hey, guys! How’s your week going? Over here, we’re still in full swing with the EBV and making little changes around the house, and this time I want to show you how our mini coffee station turned out in our kitchen, because, as you know, I was missing the coffee maker, plus a few other little things I wanted to change and add to make the space as functional and pretty as possible—and for me, the result was 100% satisfying… or maybe 90% 😄
Para este pequeño cambio lo primero que quería hacer era incorporar una barra para tazas y para esto usaría una que ya tenía en casa, solo que le pedí a mi esposo la pintara de negro mate, ya que era plateada y yo la quería negra, así que puso manos a la obra, y no solo la pintó, sino que la instaló y estuvo lista para acomodar nuestras tazas nuevas en tono verde menta que descubrí hace poco en Tijerazo y no podía dejarlas atrás, así que las compré.
Una vez instalada la barra para las tazas grandes, que son las que usamos para el café con leche, coloqué alineado con la barra, el gavatero de madera clara con algunos detalles en blanco en el que guardo algunos utensilios de cocina, y sobre él acomodé una taza alta con una planta acuática que ya tiene tiempo conmigo en la cocina, y además incorporé una bandeja rectangular de bambú para que todo esté bien organizado.
For this small change, the first thing I wanted to do was add a cup rack, and for that I’d use one I already had at home—I just asked my husband to paint it matte black, since it was silver and I wanted it black, so he got to work—and not only did he paint it, but he also installed it, and it was ready to hold our new mint-green mugs that I recently discovered at Tijerazo and just couldn’t pass up, so I bought them.
Once the rack for the large mugs—which are the ones we use for coffee with milk—was installed, I placed the light-wood cabinet with some white accents, where I keep some kitchen utensils, aligned with the rack. On top of it, I arranged a tall mug with an aquatic plant that’s been with me in the kitchen for quite some time, and I also added a rectangular bamboo tray to keep everything well organized.
Sobre la bandeja coloqué el envase con el café, unas tazas blancas pequeñas apiladas en una esquina, al lado derecho mi nueva greca que descansa sobre un posa vasos tejido en color beige, y justo detrás, en medio de las tazas blancas y la greca ubiqué el espumador, y para finalizar incorporé una cuchara de madera frente a la greca.
En este punto ya la estación de café estaba prácticamente completa, solo necesitaba tener cerca un pañito para limpiar cualquier derrame durante la preparacion del café, pero como no quería saturar la superficie del gavetero decidí usar el espacio vertical que me ofrecía el gabinete que está justo al lado, así que agregué un pequeño perchero que compré hace poco en Traki, y que al ser de madera y con el gancho negro, combina a la perfección y lo mejor es que es adhesivo, así que solo pegué y listo. Colgué un paño de microfibra gris y de es forma, mi área de café está terminada.
On the tray, I placed the container of coffee, a few small white cups stacked in one corner, and to the right, my new decorative plate resting on a beige woven coaster. Right behind it, between the white cups and the decorative plate, I placed the frother, and finally, I added a wooden spoon in front of the decorative plate.
At this point, the coffee station was practically complete; I just needed to have a small cloth nearby to wipe up any spills while making coffee, but since I didn’t want to clutter the surface of the dresser, I decided to use the vertical space offered by the cabinet right next to it, so I added a small hook rack I recently bought at Traki. Since it’s made of wood with a black hook, it matches perfectly—and the best part is that it’s self-adhesive, so I just stuck it on and that was it. I hung a gray microfiber cloth, and just like that, my coffee station is finished.
La verdad es que yo estoy más que feliz con el resultado, aunque no descarto cambiar la bandeja rectangular por una redonda, si es que encuentro una que me guste muchísimo, pero de momento todo luce tal como yo quería y poco a poco mi cocina va tomando forma.
The truth is, I'm more than happy with the result, although I haven't ruled out swapping the rectangular tray for a round one—if I find one I really love—but for now, everything looks just the way I wanted, and little by little my kitchen is taking shape.
