Sometimes when I'm busy working or running errands, I just forget to eat for some reason. Don't know if it's my love for my work, or just my lazy self not wanting to get up and prepare or order food.

Even if I head out to finish an assignment or sit for work on my desktop with an empty stomach, I might just get caught up in between all the work. I just forget to eat for a while, until someone actually comes and reminds me to eat. But today was just something else, I guess I broke my own record of getting distracted and then just forgot to have lunch.

I usually have lunch around 2 or 3 PM, whether I'm at the office or at home; only when I'm outside and on the run I have to change it up, either having to finish lunch early or late.

Today after getting back home I wasn't that hungry, so I decided to sit on my PC and browse on PeakD for a while, engage a bit and browse for as long as I could. I thought that I would get a reminder and be called for lunch, as always, but instead, I was handed a list and suggested to head towards the nearest bazar to get some emergency groceries.

So, I headed out at around 4:30PM, thinking that it wouldn't take much time, but by the time I got back it was already 6PM.

Unfortunately, after getting back home, there was no lunch to be served on the menu. Hence, I decided to head out again, with a package that I had to send to Khulna. The plan was now to hand the package over to the courier service and then get back home with a takeaway order of some food.

Yet, thanks to another unavoidable turn of events, after reaching the courier office, I found myself in front of a big empty gate and space. At first I thought they were closed, but thanks to the very friendly watchmen in the neighboring building and the info they had provided, I managed to track down the courier service's new branch quite easily.

I did have to cover about 2 more kilometers or so, but at least I was able to hand over the package to them. After I got rid of the package it was time for another little walk, back on the same route; which was actually good for me, it'll help me get rid of the extra bit of belly fat I still have hanging around.

I already stopped using any sort of elevators or escalators in my day to day commute; added with my daily free-hand workouts and advanced stretching at home, soon enough this annoying bit of belly fat should be a thing of the past.

When I was on my way to one of the nearest restaurants to order some food for takeaway, I realized that I was passing by Tabaq. So, a bright idea popped into my head and I decided not to wait for takeaway, I'd rather finish my "lunch" here ASAP and then get back home.

Tabaq doesn't take much time when it comes to preparing the food, which was just what I needed when running on this empty stomach of mine. On top of that, this was the OG branch of Tabaq, the one that was and still is the most consistent to this day, when it comes to the service and the food.

So, I went with the usual trio order of a sandwich, some dessert and coffee.

Usually I order the roast beef sandwich, but this time I went with the chicken tikka instead, and I really did not regret my decision. It feels good to change it up every now and then, I do the same when it comes to ordering dessert, but one thing that I don't want to and can't risk is my coffee experience; if I'm ordering coffee, then it's always going to be a cappuccino.

Maybe one day I'll be "man enough" to order and try something different from the coffee section.

Usually I rush a lot when it comes to eating, which is a bad habit I'd say, but that's just me.

Yet, this time I took it slow for some reason, enjoyed every bit and moment, sipped away and tried to enjoy the experience. I did the complete opposite of what you should expect from a person who hasn't eaten in the last 8 hours or so haha.

I guess I took my time because it's been a while since I've last dined alone at a restaurant or cafe. On top of that, thanks to Tabaq's calm, dark decor and color theme, accompanied by the soothing playlist, you have no option but to take it slow and enjoy the moment.

And in-between every little bite, I managed to take some pictures of this snug little place.

Soon enough I realized that I had spent close to 20 minutes just eating my food, which is surely a first. I'm the guy who absolutely devours the food as soon as it's served, and after I'm done eating, only then I will proceed towards chatting, for as long as possible.

I guess that's the beauty of dining alone; you can take your time when eating your food and when you're done, you can just head out and be on your way.

That's about it for today's coffee adventures I guess; the things we do for the love of coffee, for a single sip haha.

I thank you all for sticking with me till the end here. Cheers ☕️☮️
