In this post, I'd like to share my experience of exploring the city of Kuala Simpang. This journey was filled with interesting discoveries, from meeting many new people to seeing a variety of remarkable buildings along the way, including schools, city landmarks, and beautiful mosques with impressive architecture. Experiences like these always remind me that there are countless new places, stories, and wonders waiting to be discovered and explored in this world.
When I arrived at the Welcome Park in Kuala Simpang, I was a little surprised to see how neglected it had become ,the park looked worn down and poorly maintained, with many areas overgrown by wild grass. Even the welcome sign had been damaged, and several of its letters were missing. Although the park itself is not very large, it occupies a highly strategic location right in front of a sharp bend, making it one of the first landmarks that catches the attention of anyone passing by. At first, I planned to take a short break there and enjoy the surroundings, but after seeing its current condition, I decided to change my mind and continue my journey instead.
My main purpose for this trip was simply to escape the boredom. However, the farther I traveled, the more interesting discoveries I made along the way.
Along the roadside, I also came across a small stall selling a variety of refreshing drinks, including fresh sugarcane juice, young coconut water, and several other cold beverages. I decided to stop there for a while to buy a fresh young coconut before continuing my journey.
The stall also offered a variety of freshly fried snacks, including fried bananas, fried tofu, fried tempeh, and vegetable fritters. They were served with a signature dipping sauce that was rich and savory. Of course, I couldn't resist buying some of these delicious snacks so I could enjoy them later when I found the perfect place to take a break.
Along the roadside, I once again came across a mosque with truly magnificent architecture. What impressed me even more was its location, as it stood only about 15 meters from the main road, making it clearly visible to everyone passing by.
Up close, the mosque is truly stunning, with its unique architectural design and elegant combination of white and golden-brown colors. Every detail of the building reflects exceptional craftsmanship, from its sturdy pillars and beautifully arched windows to the decorative patterns that enhance its overall appearance. The two greenish-blue domes, adorned with intricate geometric designs, add a distinctive charm that makes the mosque even more captivating. Despite being located just a few meters from the main road, the mosque still offers a peaceful and tranquil atmosphere, making it impossible for passersby not to admire its beauty.
