SHINY JUMPING SPIDER // Discovering the Magical Colors and Hidden Wonders of a Shiny Jumping Spider
Good night to all my beloved hive friends ♥️
This is a jumping spider from the family Salticidae. I managed to find this unique spider behind my house. Its color looks very striking against the leaves, and that is what caught my attention and made me interested in capturing its details. This spider has a very unique shape, with a square-shaped head, a pair of large main eyes at the front, and several smaller eyes around them, giving it an almost 360-degree field of view, while its abdomen is elongated and oval-shaped.
The most interesting part is its beautiful and aesthetic colors. It has several colors on its body, with a shimmering metallic sheen of emerald green, bronze, and golden tones. We can already see its beauty from a distance, but its details can only truly be seen up close.
Many people ask, what camera do you use? I use an Infinix GT 10 Pro phone camera + a Lensbong lens.
Never underestimate it because of its small size. This spider can jump many times its body length at incredible speed. I lost sight of it several times while trying to photograph it. It is also very good at hiding, there is absolutely no doubt about that.
The most challenging part was photographing it from the front, but take a look at some of the photos above.
Out of curiosity, I tried to count its eyes, and it turned out that this spider has 8 eyes, which is a detail we should not overlook.
The two main eyes are very prominent at the front of its face, round in shape and glossy black in color. Meanwhile, the other six eyes are smaller in size: two are located beside the main eyes, another two are positioned on the sides, and the remaining two are located on top of its head. Eight eyes is quite a large number, so we can conclude that this spider has sharp eyesight.
To get satisfying results, I had to use my secret weapon, which is taking a large number of photos. The logic : out of all the shots I take, there must be a few good ones, and those are the photos I choose to share here.
This spider is very mischievous. It kept moving around and never stayed still, jumping here and there until it finally got caught on a wildflower.
This was my chance to continue capturing its beauty. At that moment, I managed to take 50 photos, but only 12 good ones are shared here. Always prioritizing quality over quantity is the most important thing. I always want my posts to be interesting and high-quality.
