My mother always did things right. Fine plates, fancy utensils, cut crystal vases. Not me. Every time I shove a heap of clothes in a drawer without folding them, I think of Mum. Luckily she can't see in

You don't need to find the right words, it's enough that you feel love enough to write 💞 the beautiful words you do. One thing I know is that we all suffer grief and loss, and it's this shared experience

It's priceless isn't it?

I'm trying to hold onto that spirit as best I can. He did, right to the end..

It definitely feels like it was more carefree back then. I feel things have changed a lot since he passed.

Yep, we all manage somehow. It's Mums birthday - can't imagine how she's waking up this morning...

I'm sorry to hear that, it sounds like you loved him so much, and he was also a good man and a good father. It's so hard missing them so much xx

Death taxes in UK are insane. I hope we avoid them here. We have before - I think it's unlikely we will see them here. Bloody hope not or my future is fucked hhaha

Agreed. The line isn't rocket science.

Having lived a 'homeless' life in the UK for a time as a new traveller, as my husband had also lived this way before he met me (and loved in an old mobile library when I met him) I always like reading,

Goodness me. I swear I mark the end of northern summer garden season when @sunscape harvests the last of the basil!

It's a lovely way to remember them too. Happy. That's the bit of Dads eulogy I couldn't read - imagining where he would be. About a month ago Dad and I were listening to music in the back living room.

I know right. Have a look at the case of Ruby Franke. That's truly nuts. But then that whole Mormon thing is bonkers before you get started.

Oh yeah and I think initially there's sympathy as normally one aligns oneself with a narrator as you have access to their psyche. In this case though she never redeems herself, but gets worse!

No even with a cowboy? He he. The whole tradwife thing is fine, if it's truly the women's choice I suppose. I never quite believe it is. Plus I think it's dangerous to peddle it to others.

I don't want to write in the style of Dickens and read a work like that. Dickens is Dickens because of his context and history and human lived experience. Anything else is mimicking idiocy. Same goes for

I don't think there's an issue here. AI has use cases that are ethical, and ones that aren't. Practical use cases, and ones that take something away from our core humanity. Code away, but create a song

If it comes down to this place mainly being AI I'm out. Not that I matter as an individual but I wonder how many of us will leave collectively. All community owners SHOULD specify no AI and do best to

Mark my words, I'm sure they'll make it into one ...

One thing permanent about life is that it is always changing - that's okay. It can just be a jarring realisation, I guess, or a discombulating thought: The 'I' is different.
