I'm a sucker for a botanical garden in any town, so when I drove an hour and a half to drop Jamie off to do a bikepacking trip, I stopped past the Colac Botanical Gardens - being Spring, it was an ideal

For those who've been following along, we've finally got around to doing the tiling of the splashback in the kitchen. I've had the tiles for ages as I got them in sales, saving a few hundred dollars, but

Many years ago, I finally caved and bought a Nokia phone I didn't think I even needed because it came with a free discman. It had snake, and about 10 emojis from memory. You had to keep texts very short

No, there is no rest for wicked husbands. Evenly the wickedly good ones. Sorry, Hive men. I know you empathise with men forced to DIY for their wives. Rest assured, he wanted the window. First step was

What do humans need? Ask Becky Chambers in this beautiful little hope punk book, where we meet a non binary tea monk who meets a robot in the wilderness and muses upon what gives our lives meaning. I'm

Seeing that my husband was relaxing the other day, I found a job for him to do - create a breakfast bar overlooking the garden. I usually have a cuppa or my muesli standing up against the balcony rail,

Rewatching Game of Thrones at the moment, it's interesting watching three episodes a night instead of waiting a week between episodes and a year between seasons, watching the characters develop knowing

Dads ashes finally went to the ocean 🌊 yesterday - swirling round in the big blue. Felt like he was already out there but it felt right for them to be released where he wanted them to go, on the coast

We never really celebrated Father's Day - I think we saw Dad often enough that we didn't feel the need to have a special day for him. My sister sent me this photo last weekend though on the Australian

Yesterday's read, ironically enough, was called Yesteryear, and I finished it by 5pm. I did skim a lot of it as it was thick and I would have been bored with the excruciating detail of the narrator's every

The death of Wendell Berry this week infused my algorithm with his poems, set to animation, superimposed over photographs, or simply the poem, black times new roman over white, letting the words speak
