Watching movie was never prohibited in the bible and the bible did not condemn anything visual display on the screen. The bible have warn us to be mindful of what we let into our mind and heart. We have good movies that teaches us about Jesus Christ and we also have bad movie that expose us into theft and pornography. Therefore, Christians are encouraged to exercise wisdom and self-control when choosing what to watch, making sure it does not lead them into sinful thinking or behavior.
The bible also teaches us that whatever we're doing in this world we should make sure that it honours God and God so happy with it. We should know that movies that speaks about violence can affect our personal life with God. In Philippians 4:8, believers are encouraged to focus on things that are true, pure, and praiseworthy. This principle can guide Christians in deciding whether a movie is appropriate to watch. Therefore, watching movies itself is not necessarily a sin, but the content and the effect it has on one’s faith and character should always be considered.
