What Steem can learn from DOGEcoin?
Community matters. Herd mentality matters. Like minded people stay together in case of adversity. DOGEcoin may sound as a joke to most of the people outside of cryptocurrency circle. Even most of savvy crypto enthusiast loothed DOGE, but DOGE survived.
It is one of the most traded cryptocurrency by pairs, comparable to LTC or BCH. DOGEcoin have lots of HODLers. It has one of the largest community in Reddit. They come out regularly in reddit, chill in and post a meme.
Periodically, celebrities such as Elon Musk or others just post a meme. It get pumped. It is also traders favorite trading currency due to lots of arbitrage opportunity and trading volumes.
Steem too is making a strong community. There are lots of HODLer that becomes believer from skeptic everyday. It is not yet traded widely and with large number of pair. It is one of the reason for Steem's under performance. However, Steem is not complete yet. It needs few hardforks to complete the developments. Probably STINC is holding marketing campaign for MIRA or SMT.
However, Steem is becoming more community oriented. Community is taking steps for both marketing and developments. It is becoming more like DOGE community where people meet and chill, post a blog or meme.
It just needs more time to settle!
