Hello everyone!
I am hanging out with my dad today.
We are getting ready for this summer camping trip for a week on the river.
It's about an hour drive from where we live in Arkansas to the Beaver Tail Waters/White River so we wanted to drive out and make sure it was a good spot.
Beautiful day and the water was looking nice and clean 馃グ
Killing nothing but time.
Been trying to get better at photos haha these top three are all from the same spot just different perspectives of the bend in the river.
I love the colors of the mountain side along the river when the light breaks from the setting sun.
Really looking forward to spending some more time out here!
Oh but of course we had to cast a line out before it got dark.
Ultralight poles with spin cast reels and 6lbs test line.
I used a mix of live bait(worms) and power bait(pink worms) w/ power eggs(chartreuse).
My dad pretty much only uses the power bait and he caught the most.
We got lucky with a total of six regulation size keepers!
These Rainbow Trout are stocked under the Beaver Dam every year but they don't survive the summer like the hardy Brown Trout so we fish them as often as we can.
If my hands weren't dirty with blood I would have snapped some pictures of the filets as well haha maybe next time I can find someone else to tag along and cut the filets.
I also have a 360 image that I would like to share if anyone could point me in the right direction.
I wish I would have better documented this little trip but I do hope you enjoyed the journey and photos.
Thanks for stopping by 馃尀 have a great day!
