School rewards caution, life rewards daring..school reward people for their memory but life reward people for their imagination and innovation .If you worked backward and thought first about the adult we admire,we would not name their characteristics of passing exams. The great minds we reverend in the world today we rarely see how their school performance affected their present day excellence that stands the test of time.e.g Nelson Mandela,Albert Einstein,Wole Soyinka,Adams Oshiomole,Steve Jobs, bill Gates,Dangote etc. We barely even ask what school they attended.
Am not saying we shouldn't study hard in school, what am saying is try and develop yourself, study books outside your field or course. Let education reflect in you before asking for the alphabets on papers. In school is easy to memorise and pass exams but in the real world there is no sure book to progress nor exams,it is just you and your inbuilt capability that requires no context with anybody. I will end by quoting Albert Einstein "School failed me and I failed the school. The teachers behave like Feldwebel(sergeants),i wanted to learn what I wanted to know but they wanted me to learn for the exam.I felt my thirst for knowledge was being strangled by my teachers.Grades were their only measurement .How can a teacher understand youth with such system".
