After fighting through a storm and raiders in the Upper Wildwoods, we returned home. After checking on the wolves, they went to sleep. Their rest was shattered when Thor arrived during a tempest; carrying mead and placing his heavy hammer on the table inside their cabin.
We kept moving toward home as a heavy storm began to brew around us. Suddenly, a band of raiders ambushed us on the path to block our retreat. I initiated the fight by hurling the Leviathan Axe directly into one of the attackers.
I began clearing them out one by one, but one raider stayed back on high ground, slinging fireballs toward us. I had to target him from a distance with the axe to put an end to the ranged fire.
More raiders joined the fray, forcing me to unleash everything I had in combat until the immediate threat was neutralized.
With the battle over for the time being, we continued our journey through the frost cave I had traversed earlier while searching for Atreus. We reached the Upper Wildwoods, confirming that we were finally close to home.
Upon arriving near the cabin, Atreus paused to speak with the remaining wolves. He checked on them gently, noting that they were not scared because they were brave animals.
While Atreus interacted with the pack, Kratos called out to him, stating that it was time to get to bed. The boy obeyed like a good son and followed Kratos as we ran the final stretch home.
Once inside the shelter of the cabin, Kratos placed Mimir's head down on a nearby table. Atreus engaged in a brief conversation with Mimir while I took in the calm atmosphere of the room.
Kratos needed proper rest, so I guided him toward his bed to end the day. As Kratos lay down, Atreus retired to his own bed, and father and son fell asleep.
I hoped Kratos would not experience another terrible nightmare, but the calm did not last long. A sudden, violent storm tore through the area, shaking the entire cabin until the roof began to break apart.
It was the fateful moment when Thor decided to pay them a visit. When Kratos demanded to know who stood at the door, the stranger revealed his iconic hammer and asked if he could come inside, mentioning that he brought mead.
Kratos warned him that he would not find good company inside, but Thor insisted that he was sure they would find plenty of things to talk about.
Kratos whispered a quick instruction to Atreus, prompting the boy to step back deeper into the house while Kratos motioned for Thor to enter.
Thor stood as a massive figure next to Kratos, appearing quite tall and heavy-set. As he crossed the threshold, a flock of black crows buzzed into the room alongside him.
Thor commented that they had a nice place before Kratos gestured toward a wooden bench, inviting him to sit.
The moment echoed the post-credits scene from the previous installment. Once inside, Thor took his massive hammer and put it directly on the table for Kratos to see, and Kratos did the same with his axe.
