Snow is all melting away (flood season), and I'm driving by the lake at night. Cool Victorian London-esqe lamp posts throwing out eerie, smokey light rays onto the shed husks of snowbanks.
I'm thinking of death---which is making me think of life. I called my Grandma today to check on her. Her spirits were pretty high, despite the covid containment. Tomorrow, I'm watching my granddaughter again. The young and the old---the light and the dark---the unseen and the blinding...
Life is a patchwork of beauty and shit and suffering and icecream. Endure the horror as well as I can, but make sure to drink a rootbeer and listen to some good tunes from time to time... (OMD just came on the iPod---on random, of course...LIFE is random---and OMD is GREAT tunes...)
Avoid electricution...
Bedtime is interesting. Even though I just swallowed 5 and a half (prescription) pills---enough to floor some folks---it might take me hours to get to sleep. Funny thing, though.... This is me sleeping WELL compared to my insomnia days.
I'm enjoying life while I've got it. I'm making art, taking pictures, listening to tunes, eating brownies, and spending time with my loved ones... Life is horrible (watch the documentary called, The Weather Underground, to see just HOW horrible), but I've chosen to embrace whatever splinters of happiness I can find and hold them close. (I'm no fascist monster trying to impose my repressive happiness on the world---you be you---just sharing my thoughts and feelers...)
R.I.P. Cheeze... You were a shithead, sometimes, but you made a million people happy (and a dozen or so bleed.)
