Three runs this week: the classic intervals, fast 5K then long 13K runs, the later finished just an hour ago.
I must say I'm loving how no work has allowed me to move my longer run from Sunday to Monday. That's working out real nice!
Although for the last couple of weeks, i've pushed this back to Tuesdays, on account of being knackered from painting the previous two weekends.
I also did a lot of painting again this week, and three circuit sessions, which I've now built up from 30 to 40 minutes. I must be getting used to this level of activity as I felt OK for a 13K run today.
I track most of my runs with Garmin, which auto uploads to Strava.
Just my usual 5K not the park run circuit, but intervalled, plus a bit more. Took it easier than I usually would. I'm in a restive phase ATM - will build it up gradually over the spring summer!
Not as quick as i usually do, but again this is my resitive phase - one can't hammer it out every single week.
I went out at 15.50 today - a rare PM run, which was great. Lovely and sunny, needed my running cap and plenty water and I enjoyed myself - flagged a bit for that last KM, but this is the furthest I've run in several months, so I'm not surprised!
Lots of people about today.
I really should try and get back to four runs.
I've also got it into my head that I'd like to do a solo half marathon before the end of May, so I might start building up that 13Ks to 22Ks roughly a half!
I figure that there's not much point pounding out the intervals to improve my Park Run times as there is no Park Run ATM.... so another kind of challenge seems appropriate - I can get back to the PR in June/ July when it hopefully restarts again!
Then again I might bail. I'll see how it goes!
