Once you stop learning, you start dying
~Albert Einstein~
Learning is an essential aspect of human existence. Recently, I've realized that even machines rely on learning, especially in an era where AI is advancing at an incredible pace. To keep up with the global pace, continuous learning is crucial for both humans and machines.
Learning can occur through conscious or unconscious processes:
One of the challenges with learning that most people have is prior knowledge reliance, which prevents being open to a new perspective. Additionally, there is the inability to apply what has been learned due to lack of motivation, self-doubt, etc.
To overcome this challenge, one has to realize the effect of it and become actively open-minded. Seeking out systems of accountability helps with motivation, and building a support system around the right atmosphere, self-affirmations, and right associations has helped me with self-doubt.
For me, the most rewarding moments in learning are when I realize that knowledge from one field is applicable in another. This has taught me to seize every opportunity to learn, unlearn, and relearn, as you never know when it might come in handy.
I firmly believe that the greatest inventions we've seen and continue to see were born out of continuous learning. To thrive in today's world of creativity and innovation, we must remain open to learning, unlearning, and relearning in all aspects of our lives, every day and every time.
Take up the challenge. Be open-minded, research the validity of new knowledge, and apply it to unlock the creativity and innovation within you.
