As most of us already know: The Tron foundation has bought Steemit, Inc.
What happened then?
Our elected witnesses have been concerned that Tron will power up the STEEM they have got with Steemit and take over the Steem blockchain. A SoftFork of our witnesses happened in order to prevent the use of Trons new SP for that goal.
Tron then was in fear to loose their STEEM and influence and has done a coalition with some exchanges. Big exchanges (some with close relations to Tron) powered up the STEEM their customers hold and voted with their customers SP for witnesses working for Tron.
All top 20 witnesses have been installed by Tron that way. The current state you can see here: https://steemian.info/witnesses
Now Tron rules the Steem blockchain and our blockchain is not distributed any more. Tron can do with the blockchain whatever Tron want's to do.
In the meantime Binance, one of the exchanges, has pulled their votes back. And du to our votes for OUR witnesses some of them could get beck under the top 20 witnesses.
One convenient way is the following:
If you have no idea what witness you should vote for in this special situation then do the following:
Vote for the first witness whos rank (#) is greater than 20 (that means #21, #22, #23, ...) AND who is NOT running Version 0.22.5.
Everybody who has STEEM on an exchange pull it back on the steem blockchain into YOUR account were you control the secret keys. I'm curious to see what will happen if everybody tries to transfer his/her STEEM.
Spoiler: The exchanges have powered them all up. So they can't give them back to you! They make their business with your SP.
Please take control again about your STEEM, login to your exchange and transfer your STEEM to your steem account.
Power your STEEM up if you don't need them unstaked and use your power to vote for OUR witnesses (the ones who do NOT run Version 0.22.5)
Thank you
