The Buriganga River, with its serene waters, is a sight to behold. The rain had just ceased, leaving the river gleaming under the soft, overcast sky. This dam area, commonly referred to as Beribadh, is cherished by residents for its tranquility and the respite it provides from the city's hustle and bustle. The expanse along the river serves as a peaceful retreat where one can unwind and rejuvenate.

Beribadh is known for its long, picturesque walkway that stretches alongside the river. This path is perfect for a stroll, offering unobstructed views of the water.

As I walked along with my niece and nephew, who were visiting this place for the first time, their excitement was palpable. They were fascinated by the numerous water vehicles that dotted the river—boats and ships in various states of activity.

The highlight of our visit was seeing the ships and boats up close. The sheer size and intricate details of the ships left us in awe. Watching the workers diligently repairing and cleaning the vessels added to the fascination. The kids were thrilled, their eyes wide with wonder and excitement.

Some vessels were in motion, gliding gracefully across the water, while others were anchored. The sight of ships and boats gracefully gliding across the river was mesmerizing, adding a dynamic beauty to the serene waters.

Though the weather forecast hinted at rain, which made us cautious about venturing too far, we decided to savor the riverside experience. The walkway offered ample spots to sit and enjoy the scenery. We made our way to a cozy spot by the riverbank to indulge in some light snacks.

The riverside stalls are famous for their tea, and we couldn't resist trying the popular Malai milk tea. Its rich, creamy flavor was the perfect complement to the cool, breezy afternoon. Alongside the tea, we enjoyed some crispy chips and ice cream, much to the delight of my niece and nephew.
