Time flies! Just completed the 179th brawl with my awesome guild, which is none other than Pizza 2 The Deep Dish!

Fun In The Discord Chats

Really appreciated the interaction in the Discord chats within the Pizza guilds. During the preparation phase, there's a lot of information sharing and discussion on who to fill each fray. During the brawls, there were reminders to members to complete their brawl battles. And after the brawls, there were celebratory messages and some members (including me) would write about our experience in the brawls. Aside from brawls, I thought the donations were also very well organised and tabulated, with lucky draws to incentivise donors as well.

Moving Back To Bronze Fray

For this brawl, I made the decision to move back to a Bronze level fray, which is where my cards are at. It proved to a good decision but I was back to winning form!

Had 6 battles this time and it was not an easy round, especially when they have recently introduced 3 rulesets for each battle. Moreover, I have rented out most of my cards because I was playing lesser these days.

We Got 6th!

So for the final result, we were 6th out of 9 guilds and got 538 Merits and around 14 SPS! A whole bag of SPS! Not a great finish this time as it was quite competitive for me personally. We live to fight another day I guess.

Individually, I had 6 fights this time and I won 3 of them this time! Finished 6th within the guild. Due to change in format, wins are actually awarded to the players present in the fray if guilds decided to skip the fray. For this round, there were 2 additional wins for me.

Battle 1 - WIN

Right off the bat, the opponent fled! Will take the free win!

Battle 2 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: None

This was one of the battles that I felt I could have won. Ulundin Overseer didn't perform to its expectations against an opposing Ranged lineup. Even with all the big cards, I still lost.

Battle 3 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Sola Ranjell

You might laugh at such a lineup but 16 mana was very restrictive to put up an interesting one. Still both sides still put up a decent lineup for a fight and it was Mycelic Slipspawn that was just too strong compared to the rest of the cards on the board.

Battle 4 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: Kotriphus Bayne and Witch Of Warwick

Once again it's against Quora Towershead. When I saw the lineup I knew there was no way I was going win. It's just tough against up against Quora Towershead in brawls and since I don't have a copy, I will just have to accept these losses every now and then.

Battle 5 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: None

Once again, I was almost granted a free win with my opponent put out another weak lineup for a low mana fight. Astral Entity comes in very strongly but my team did not even need to display the full power in this battle.

Battle 6 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: None

Ulundin Overseer had another chance to redeem itself but failed miserably. I had quite a number of misses in this one and this could have cost me the win. Bad luck sometimes happen and I guess this will even out over the course of the brawls.

So that sums up my 6 battles for this brawl! 50% win rate this time round! Probably one of my worst showing in recent times, albeit with one of the losses coming from Quora Towershead. Hope to do better in the next brawl!
