Although I am always talking to Jess about the cryptosphere, I can assure you of one thing: Even though she listens to me very attentively, it is not her world.聽
Despite my enormous eagerness to read myself into the blockchain, to recognize connections and to find smart investment opportunities. Jess beat me, relatively speaking, with her ultra-passive investment behavior. You can't imagine how heartily I had to laugh when I realized this fact!
I gave her 11'000 Dogecoins, worth about $11 back then, as we were traveling in Nepal, which she left on her cell phone wallet and didn't think about them anymore. When she learned about the Dogecoin price a few days ago, she noticed that her Doge's had a smooth 800% increase in value. So she took the chance and sold her Dogecoins. She once again pointed out to me how brilliant the method "Buy and Hold" (cryptographically also called "HODL") can work in the crypto market. Of course, luck also played a big role!
Particularly in view of the current market situation, many can take a slice of Jess's investment tactics. Don't lose your mind and let things take their course. If you are convinced that you have put your money into the right projects, then it is not necessary to get into a ruminant mood and be tempted to do any loss prevention. Sit back, enjoy the holidays and look forward to the market recovering soon.聽
If you don't know if you have placed your money in the right place, it's time to check now. What kind of real value do the projects you invest in create? What kind of team is it? Is the corresponding community vibrant and involved in the development process? Could there be insurmountable hurdles in the future that could cause your projects to fail?... And so on:)
Once again: I can't promise you that all the blockchains that are currently being hotly traded will prevail. Quite frankly, I am even one of the biggest opponents of Bitcoin and I wish for Christmas (and my birthday: P) that this Blockchain grandpa would bed down for the last rest. What I do not want, however, is for small investors to bleed. I will summarise my thoughts on this in a separate article so as not to go beyond the scope of this.
I have written a number of articles about the blockchain in the last few days. If you missed it, I will provide you with the links here:
