Hello Hive friends, how are you all ? Hope you are always in good condition.
Today I want to share a story related to my post. That this is a very extreme activity in my opinion, because it's my first time trying it.
Rappelling is a technique of descending from a cliff or bridge using a kernmantle rope. This technique is used to descend the cliff. However, on this occasion we rappelled at the waterfall (waterfall) which is close to the Ungaran mountain climbing route.
This is the process of installing the kernmantle rope, but in this rope installation we need a little time. So when doing rappelling so that there is no risk of course security, comfort and safety must be prioritized. Kernmantle rope is used for rock climbing.
Kernmantle rope is divided into three, namely, static, dynamic and semi-static. However, the three ropes have different functions, including static ropes used for rappelling or when descending from a height, dynamic ropes used for rock climbing or rock climbing activities, while semi-static ropes are usually used for rescue activities.
These are some of the tools we use when rappelling, but to start an activity with an extreme hobby of course we believe in the tools we use so as not to cause fear. Here are some photos of rappelling that I did.
