Ever have one of those days where you wonder if it's all worth it? If all your hard work is being noticed? If you're appreciated?

Ever have one of those days where you're just so tired that it's only God's grace that keeps you going?

I have. So have other mothers. You're not alone.

You might have wished you had more support, more help, more 'me time'. You might even feel awful for wishing for those things. After all motherhood is this wonderful blessing, right?

Yes, it is. It's a wonderful blessing.

But it's not a bed of roses, as you know. It is, however, such a marvellous crucible at times if you let it be. The Lord can use those difficult moments so well to prune us and better equip us to be the servants we are called to be.

Motherhood is beautiful and it's also tough. It's full of sacrifice and putting the needs of your family ahead of your own.

And sometimes...we might wonder if it's being noticed. If it's worth it.

Trust me, dear mother, it is being noticed by your Heavenly Father, even if it seems no one else is noticing. That patience you exercise daily, the love you show your family, all the boo-boos you kiss better, those times you pass up on dessert so they can have more...all those little sacrifices you make because you love them - it's all noticed.

The tears you shed because you're just so tired, every prayer you pray over your children, every little way you lead them along and teach them the ways of Christ - it's all noticed.

All your work for your family is precious. The way you nuture and tend to the gardens of their hearts in a way that only a mother can is an invaluable ministry.

So don't grow weary, dear Christian mother, keep leaning on the Everlasting Arms and remember the promise that you can do all things through Him who gives you strength.
