Last year I planted two pear trees, two apple trees, two Italian plums, and a peach tree. I lost an apple tree and a pear, so I planted one more apple tree for cross-pollination. The pear trees are self-pollinating, I don't eat that many pears anyway, but I do eat and can a lot of peaches. All the trees are dwarfs (maybe not the two I bought for replacement), oops. I do love pears, and I do can them as well, but I love peaches.
The Honey Crisp apple tree just blossomed today. I took the other pictures yesterday. That's a fast blossoming tree!
I also planted blueberries and raspberries. My backyard is a little bit less than a 1/4 of an acre, and the dirt is black gumbo clay. That's why I have raised beds, and I had to augment the dirt for my trees too!
Hey, garden work is better than working out at the gym. It added a bonus. My effort grows food.
