🌰 2 tablespoons durian meat
🍵 1/2 teaspoon green tea powder

Instructions

1- Prepare Dry Ingredients:

  • In a large white ceramic mixing bowl, combine 250 grams of flour, 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder, and 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla powder.
  • Set aside.

2- Prepare Wet Ingredients:

  • In a clear glass mixing bowl, crack 2 eggs, add 100 grams of sugar, and pour in 50 grams of melted butter/margarine.
  • Whisk with a metal whisk until the mixture is well combined and slightly frothy.

3- Combine Wet and Dry Mixtures:

  • Gradually add 200 ml of water to the wet ingredients, whisking continuously.
  • Slowly incorporate the dry ingredients, whisking until the batter is smooth, thick, and pourable.

4- Flavor the Batter (Optional):

  • Divide the batter if making multiple flavors.
  • For durian: Mix in 2 tablespoons of durian meat into a portion of the batter.
  • For green tea: Blend 1/2 teaspoon of green tea powder into another portion, achieving a uniform green color.

5- Heat and Grease the Pan:

  • Preheat a Kue Cubit cast iron pan over medium heat.
  • Lightly grease the molds with butter/margarine.

6- Pour and Cook:

  • Fill each mold about two-thirds full with your batter of choice (plain, durian, or green tea).
  • Cook until bubbles form on the surface and the edges are a light golden, keeping the centers soft and gooey.

7- Fold and Remove:

  • Using two wooden skewers, gently fold each semi-cooked cake in half.
  • Carefully remove them from the pan and serve on a plate.
