On most clear days in Boulder, you can look up and see a constant stream of traffic from tow planes pulling a glider up above the foothills to be released into the air currents and up-drafts from the mountains.
I lost count of all of the planes flying overhead. If I ever did any flying, I'd love to take a trip up in a glider. The sound of the breeze rushing past with nothing but good engineering keeping you in the air has to be exhilarating . Besides, It's got to be safer than hot air balloons, right?
