There lots of big mental, psychological issue that needs to be taken care of when trying to achieve a goal or dream. The number one is procrastination, this is a form of self discipline. You can’t be self disciplined and procrastinate, it doesn’t work like that.
The idea of always pushing what you ought to do in the moment to next time is the beginning of your failure in your journey in trying to achieve your goal. Every time you procrastinate, you are losing something valuable, it could be time, money or experience.
After you have lost those, you tend to always complain of an empty pocket. We have all seen this happen so many times either to us or to someone we know.
Lots of people had the opportunity of riding along the bull run when it started earlier this year and late last year but procrastinated their way out of it. Some people had the opportunity to learn crypto when the hype was at its minimal, but procrastinated their way out of it. But when the hype became very high, lots of people were interested and wanted to invested, but by that time the prices of crypto were already on their all time highs and the price to learn crypto had gone up. Some didn’t mind paying for the education because they have realized their mistakes and are ready to make amends, while some were still not self disciplined and still stubborn. The stubborn ones invested into crypto at all time high, when the dip came crashing the price, they got scared and angry and pulled out. This is an example of how procrastination has killed their dream and little of their wealth.
Personally, I have a goal on Hive community and am trying to achieve it, most times it’s not favorable for me because a I have to create contents to achieve my goal. But I try to kill that spirit of procrastination, I remind myself the feelings I will feel when I achieve it. This motivates me to keep going and keep creating contents. Most importantly, the most inspiring thing is when I get upvoted and get appreciated by people and get words of motivation and encouragement from people like @vlemom ,
@hodlcommunity and the rest. I’m entirely grateful.
Take action in that thing you will like to do today, have it at the back of your mind that times doesn’t care about you. This is what people always tend to forget. Think about the great men, if they had procrastinated they won’t be where they are today. So go and learn that skill you have been procrastinating.
I hope you find this useful and inspiring
