The "Wheel of Time" book series is probably one of the longest fantasies series ever written. There are 14 books in the series and the author, Robert Jordan, wrote 11 books in the series until he passed away and left extensive notes for the finale novels which Brandon Sanderson, another famous fantasy writer, completed. Now that Amazon wants to compete in the big league of streaming services they are going for an epic fantasy show (along with the Lord of the Rings show which is still far away) that will probably span out many season and I think that they are hoping that it will be as popular as Game of Thrones. It sure seems like it has that potential. It looks big and impressive, but also a bit bland. I hope it will be good. And good for Rosamund Pike for getting the lead role. She's a good actresses and hasn't been getting the respect she deserves.
