Met up with some friends last week and I suggested we go to the “Frigideira”, an authentic Brazilian restaurant in North West London. I have been there a couple of times already and had a wonderful experience every time. It makes me keep on going back to try out more dishes, lol.
This time I tried a starter called “Mandioca Frita” also known as “fried Cassava”. According to the waitress, this is an important food source for local Brazillians in their country. An extremely popular local dish. This is my first time trying it. It looked like fried potato chips from the outside, but it actually tasted quite different in texture. It was crispy and tasty on the outside and really creamy inside. If you never had this before, I would recommend you try it out!
For mains, I had the breaded chicken covered with tomato sauce and melted cheese, served with rice and salad. A hearty dish, simple but absolutely divine! I recommended the famous steak dish to my friend and she also love it!
In addition, the food portions are really generous, so be prepared to come here only when you are very hungry, lol! Big shout out also to the rice with garlic infused. So yummy, it’s probably the best garlic rice I have ever had.
After a few pints of some fresh Brazilian Lager “Brahma” a little later, we left this lovely restaurant very satisfied. No doubt I will be back here again very soon.
