My fingertips caressing, pressing on your heart
Feeling the beat is like Heaven to my soul
The sounds you make excite me
I can never wait to touch you again
You spell out everything that defines me
You help me to let my imagination roam free
And only when I reach my ending
That is when you get a chance to breathe
My old PC keyboard
Oh, how I love you so
Please never leave me
For together, we have both grown
Your age is just a number
I will forever make you look shiny and new
You’re plugged into my laptop
Because the keyboard there won’t do
So let’s continue our relationship
You keep me satisfied
Only when I press your keys do I feel alive
So hold me a little longer to this sitting place
Give forth your charm and wonder
Till my writing drive shall fade
And if ever a day such as this should come
I will pack you gently away
