Working from home has become a normal part of life for many people around us and including me. But people are still looking for remote jobs, so it makes me question "If working from home will still be a common thing in the future? Will the companies try to bring back their employees to the office?" So, I don't think working from home will completely vanish but it can look a bit different or the system may change.
For me, I work from home most of the time but sometimes, I do go outside for work when it's required. Now, I have experience of working from both outside and home. The reason for working from home is because I want to avoid traffic also save some money. But not only that I also have the desire to stay connected with my family. It's because, after my father passed away, I have always been in fear of losing my family. Then, I decided to work from home so that I can see my daughters during the day and give quality time for my wife. I just want to be there whenever they need me which I might miss if I were away all day. I don't want my children to feel the pain I have gone through without a father, I know how it feels even though my case was different. My family is important to me and I think everyone who loves their family, feels the same way but they express it differently.
There are many benefits when I work from home such as having more control over my time. I don't have to spend hours getting ready or worry about transportation, I don't have to wait for bus for hours and the same way struggling to get back home when I'm completely drained because of work. So, it saves a lot of time and I don't like to waste my time. I can use it for my family or taking rest. I think we don't value our mental health that much, too much work can make someone feel annoyed for even small things. Because I think after working for hours at office can make anyone feel exhausted and nothing feels good anymore.
But, I don't think working from home is perfect for everyone. Some jobs require us to be outside. For example, doctors can't do surgeries or look at patient from online, they may help through online but there's no guarantee that it will be perfect as they perform in real life. Next, the construction workers if they don't come to help us build then how will the building be built? and many others need to be physically present. Even for office, meetings should be done face-to-face, because it creates a good impression.
However, I don't think people will be forced back to regular jobs just because remote work is becoming regular. It could be like companies start deciding who will work fron home and who will have to return to offices. So, in the future it will be the same like it's now both methods will be there. Because many things can't be done online.
So, I believe we should start asking, "Does this job require the worker to be at the office?"
I don't think if a job can be done from home then it's necessary to go to the office. I don't understand, why would companies want their employees to spend hours to travel from one area to other area just to sit at a desk? When they can just utilize their time and finish the work faster from home. Also, people should know that working from home does not create laziness unless you are that kind of person. If you keep thinking it will make you lazy then of course it will. You become what you believe. But I think it is not about being lazy or avoiding work. Someone who is dedicated they can work from any place they want. I believe we should have the freedom to choose that which kind of method we want to work with.
In conclusion, remote work may change but I don't think it will disappear.
