One of the scary things about living in Florida are the venomous snakes.

This weekend one of the neighborhood kids ran to my house excitedly, exclaiming "Snake! Snake! Snake!"

I grabbed my camera and followed my daughter and her friend to see what he had found.

I immediately knew it was a Water Moccasin as a few years ago I found a huge one (over four feet) in my house! I had the back door open and it had slithered in and hid in my pantry. Needless to say, it made an impression!

They are very beautiful snakes, but the fact is they are aggressive and venomous.

Considering there are lots of young children in our neighborhood, there are two options.

Trap and relocate or terminate.

Unfortunately for the Moccasin, it moved into some brush behind my neighbor's house that firmly believed there was only one option.

My guess is it was about 3 feet long.

Rest In Peace my friend.
