🦉 Blyth's reed warbler (Acrocephalus dumetorum)
📚 Acrocephalus Greek: acros upper, pointed, kephale head
📚 dumetorum lat .: dumetum thicket, thickets, dumus thorny bush
The bird mainly lives in damp woodlands, gardens and forest edges, but her most favorite places are open landscapes with low bushes. In the last years of my observations, I noticed that birds slowly began to settle closer to human dwellings. So I heard this one bird in the next yard, across the street another one. In places where private wooden houses prevail, they can be heard in the gardens.
If you do not know bird voices, then the singing of this bird will seem to you very diverse and fast chirping, whistling, clicking. But if you understand birds, then you will probably recognize the familiar voices of various birds that the reed warbler inserts into her songs.
