I decided to show you the birds of the Motacillidae (wagtail) family that I met.
White wagtail. Everyone has seen this bird. She arrives in early spring as one of the first birds. They live near rivers, but most often prefer to live in the courtyards of cities.
Tree pipit. This is the forest brother of the white wagtail. Like all birds of this family, it has a long tail with which it shakes. Likes to walk on the ground in spring and pick insects.
Citrine wagtail. I meet these birds only in the steppes in flooded meadows. They mostly keep in the bushes.
Olive-backed pipit. Another forest and also meadows dweller. But I met this bird only twice on the migration, it is very rare, and it seems that it does not even live in my region.
Yellow wagtail. Lives in open spaces, in the meadows outside the city, I always meet them in large numbers.
Gray wagtail. This species of wagtail is very rare in my city, because they mostly live in mountainous areas, and I have no mountains nearby.
