馃 The redwing (Turdus iliacus)
馃摎 Turdus (Latin) thrush
馃摎 iliacus ilia (lat.) sides, iliacus with sides (i.e. with red sides)
As soon as the snow has melted in the forest, these birds appear. Unlike their closest relatives - fieldfare thrushes, this species of thrush is migratory.
Therefore, walking through the forest at the end of April, I hear their very strange songs, which seem to consist of various chaotic fast sounds. Moreover, I could not find similar sounds in the database of bird voices. Such an impression that some new subspecies lives with us.
It is not uncommon to see these birds teaming up with other thrush species to attack birds of prey such as crows, magpies, or black kites. So to speak, the thrush brotherhood.
I also forgot to mention that this type of thrush is more shy than others.
