馃摎coelebs coelebs (lat.) - single, idle, unmarried
I met this female in the middle of June in the forest on a path.
She jumped on the ground and ate something. I don鈥檛 know for sure, but it could be plant seeds, or maybe it鈥檚 just small pebbles. Herbivores are sometimes forced to find and swallow stones so that hard rough food is ground with the help of these stones, because birds do not have teeth.
She was alone, and I think she just had a quick lunch for herself so that she could go back to her nestlings later.
