The Unexpected Diagnosis
On a clear autumn day, John's life changed drastically. He was plagued by a persistent ache in his belly, a discomfort that only became more intense as time passed. Initially, he chose to ignore it, assuming it was a result of the large meal he had the night before. However, it didn't go away.

John encountered more than just anguish. An odd happening occurred to his figure. Originally, his midriff was level and inconspicuous, yet began to inflate. Initially, he guessed it may be a short-term expansion trouble, but the magnification continued and appeared to acquire a life of its own.

Terror and disarray seized him as he gaped at his reflection in the lavatory looking glass one morning. There, he espied the distinct form of a rotund abdomen that could only belong to one individual - a pregnant woman. But John was not a lady. He was a chap in his early thirties, existing an unremarkable existence until this inexplicable metamorphosis happened.

The surprise of this revelation sent John scrambling for explanations. He made an appointment with his family physician, who, like him, was confounded by the peculiar transformation in his body. After a range of tests and examinations, the diagnosis eventually became known - fibroids.
